How a Candidate is Viewed by a Hiring Manager - Part Three

,
Best Numbers For Lottery :

Just yesterday, a very well-qualified marketing executive with great credentials emailed me. She had read an article we published about why resumes are not the right tool to get the attention of hiring managers. She told me she has been searching for a year and had no offers. She went on to rhetorically ask if she should give up. How can that be? Unless she has some horrible character flaw, (I doubt that she has one based on her work history) she should be working right now. She too is a victim of a process that cannot create the desired outcome.

Would all of this be less of an issue if the economy were roaring along and there were plenty of jobs? Of course it would. However, the fact is there are jobs available. Companies struggle to find the right people as candidates struggle to find the right company and position. Both use ineffective methods that were never specifically a result of addressing the needs of each today. As a side note, even in a roaring economy with plenty of jobs, there are many employers and candidate/applicants that are not able to connect for the exact same reason. You just do not read about it in the Wall Street Journal or hear about it on CNN. They are the ones we give the sound advice to, keep at it there are plenty of jobs.

So what is the answer? Has anyone made it a point to examine what companies and hiring managers want? Has anyone really researched how companies can get the people they want? Has anyone looked at the process candidates/applicants follow and determined what would work? Has anyone put a process together that will work? One that will work whether the economy is struggling or when it is booming? How about when you want to simply change jobs for a better opportunity? Does that process exist or are you still stuck with what you are expected to follow?

What if searching for a job was not what you thought it was, would you be interested in learning about it?

One of the real misconceptions by most job seekers is, if they put enough paper out in the market place, someone will see them and want to talk to them. Do you play the lottery and expect to win? Is the process you are using to find a job much different? You are trying to increase your odds of getting noticed by increasing the number of potential possibilities for a hiring manager to find you.

During WWII and the even the Vietnam War, planes would drop millions of leaflets into the enemies' territories. The leaflets contained information the people dropping them would want their enemy to know. Many times it was propaganda in hopes of swaying the people reading them. All sides of the wars took this action. Today with a job search, you do not use a plane and there is no enemy, but you use the internet to do mass distribution of what you want various people to know about you. It is for similar purpose, to get the attention and to sway those that read them. Just like your efforts, many of the leaflets fell into no ones hands or they fell into some one's hands that did not know what they had for one reason or another.

Is all lost? Not hardly. Let's examine what has to happen to change the process and to help the hiring manager with his/her dilemma.

The hiring manager takes the same strategy, obtaining mass information in hopes one will be the right person and the tactic is a job posting somewhere. I have shown why it may not be terribly effective for anyone. Is it possible to change how companies find the right person for their open positions? Sure! Many companies train from within, network in their industry, and some other methods they feel work for them. They are few. Those methods do not always work either.

Companies are very slow to change what they are continually told is the process to follow. They believe their process is the best available. Most companies are slow to change at all. There are many reasons why, but the focus of this article is not on why companies are slow to change.

Candidates/applicants do not have to be slow to change. They need to know what process to change to that works. Why not embrace a process that will get the hiring managers' attention by you finding them? There are many tools available. But, there is a prior step that is required by you. The first step is to determine what your skills, experience, and accomplishments are that you possess. If you do not know what you have done, you will find it difficult to determine where you fit. There are very specific steps and specific information in your own career experience you want to pull together.

Once that has been accomplished, you now need to determine what industries, companies and people you want to work for in your new job. That takes research, and lots of it. There is a huge amount of information available to sort through and sources to find exactly what you want. There are skills required that can make the task easier and provide the right results.

Prepare your credential presentation materials. Note I did not use the word resume. There is a tool that is far better and will get the attention of the hiring manager. We have used it for years, always with the same successful results.

Connect with companies. Get to know them. Learn what their needs, issues, and opportunities are for them. Match that up with your abilities. If done correctly you will get an interview. Learn the skills that will serve you well.

Prepare for that interview, not with just the ability to spontaneously recite everything you know about your abilities, hoping some of them are what the hiring manager wants. You already know some of that from your previous efforts. You will have to ask questions to gain control of the interview, and to get the response you want and the information you need. It is not a one way street in an interview. It is a two way street. You have to take charge of your efforts.

Provided you like what you find out, ask for the second interview. You can successfully gain that second interview with the right techniques and skills.

When you receive the offer, do not take the coercive stance to get just what you want. Long before an offer comes, you have to know what would be fair and reasonable. It takes more research. You and the hiring manager want a win-win result. You want it so both gets what each wants. Beyond that, you want to start off on the right foot with the person you report to and the company where you now work. You do not want to be viewed as a difficult person from the start.

The hiring manager wants the offer to go well, because he needs you and wants to achieve the goals and objectives with the best people he can assemble. Due to the time constraint and mounting problems the vacancy has caused, he also does not want to go through this process again. There are specific techniques and steps to take to accomplish this important step.

Finally, plan and prepare for your first days and weeks on the new job. Make sure you hit the ground running. It will take planning with the person you report to now. There are specific steps to take and information you need to know.

Change the process. Take it from a process where you are a leaf in the wind blowing somewhere you cannot control. Learn how to make it one where you are in charge and you determine the steps you take. You influence the outcome of the process. This is the process that is required today. It is a process that will serve you regardless of the economic environment.

How do you learn how to change the process? You do what you have done your entire career. You seek out and learn the skills necessary. The good news is they are easy to learn. The skills are immediately applicable to your job search. Best of all, they lead to success.

There is only one company we have been able to identify that provides real skill-based training to accomplish all that is truly required. Seriously consider gaining the skills needed. You have invested heavily in your chosen profession, trade or technical skills. A small investment in gaining the job you want will pay huge dividends making the investment further shrink in size.

The Lottery Secret Formula - Does it Really Exist?

,
Best Numbers For Lottery :

Are you in search of the lottery secret formula? Have you continued to play the lottery with little to no luck? Do you ever feel like you are just giving your money away by playing the lotto? If you said yes to these, then you have probably felt like I have. I to, was looking for the lottery secret formula. I have always dreamed on winning the big JACKPOT and quitting my job. The feeling of knowing you no longer have to worry about money. I would always tell myself why couldn't that be me? But now I no longer dream of winning the big JACKPOT.

You might be asking yourself why do I no longer dream about winning the lotto. I mean who wouldn't want to win the lottery? Well about 1 year ago I took a big pay cut at my job. So as bad as this was, I at least still had a job. I use to play the lotto at least 4-5 times a day. I would love the excitement of knowing that any day I could possibly win the lottery. But I was tight on money at the time, so I figured I would stop for a while.

About 3 months after that a friend of mine asked me how I was with the lotto, since he knew I loved to play. The reason he was asking me was because he told me he saw a book online that supposedly has the lottery secret formula, and would show you how to win the lottery. At first I didn't believe it, but figured I would read what he had as entertainment. So after going online and reading a little more on this book I was intrigued. I decided I would by the book with my next paycheck. Even if it wasn't true the book was pretty cheap so if anything I figured it would be entertainment for me. So when I started reading I was anxious to see if what this lottery secret formula was.

Like I said before I didn't have a lot of money at the time so I was not able to play the lotto as much as I wanted but, I ended up splitting tickets with my friend. The first week after buying the lotto we each decided to put in 10 each. This way we could test out the lottery secret formula. To both of our surprise we ended up winning money that week. We won a total of 83 dollars, which mean between the two of us we had a profit of . This was great because it gave us more money to play the following week.

The next week we figured we would each put this way we could improve our odds. After we saw the lotto drawing we could believe we won again. We didn't win the lotto, but at least we made some money. We ended up getting dollars that week. My friend and I continued playing each week, and would lose every once in a while, but at the end we were always up.

Then about 7 weeks ago when we were playing the Fantasy 5, we ended up hitting all 5 numbers. When we saw this we couldn't believe it. The Jackpot was split by 2 winning tickets that day, which resulted in each winning ticket receiving about 6,000. My wife was so happy we won that she could not stop crying. This jackpot was more the enough to make up for my pay cut I had received.

So the reason I told you before that I no longer dream of winning the big lotto jackpot is because I expect to win it. After putting these strategies to the test I have won countless times and even managed to win the Fantasy 5. Now my next goal is to win the Florida lottery. Hopefully I will be writing a story about how I won the Florida lotto in the near future.

Net-Savvy Women of 2007

,
Best Numbers For Lottery :

Did you know that most planets rotate anticlockwise, while Venus rotates clockwise? Somehow this may explain why women are more correct, more logical, more pragmatic, more sensual, more aware, and more social than their male counterparts (who are, let us say, simple domesticated pets). Women have always been trendsetters and have always shown the way, even in typical male bastions like hunting and war (lionesses hunt the best; and is not every war so far recorded in history somewhere linked to a woman?) Elementary then, to surmise that women always work towards individual progress on the micro level and towards human progress as a whole on the macro level. Her role in this tech-savvy Internet age is no exception. According to the The Boston Consulting Group more than 57% of online women are traversing the cyberspace for at least more than a year, with the advanced users logging in for more than six years.

The number of female web surfers grow faster than the overall Internet population, according to Neilsen//NetRatings. Females accounted for 52 percent or 55.0 million Internet users at home with a growth rate of 9 percent. Males comprised the remaining 48 percent of the total surfing population, rising three percent from 48.2 million to 49.8 million surfers.

"Men spent more time online, logged on more often, and accessed more content than women, despite being out-numbered by the female Internet population by more than 5.2 million surfers," said Dawn Brozek, senior Internet analyst, Neilsen//NetRatings. "Generally speaking, women shoulder a majority of the household responsibilities and therefore, face a 'time poverty' at home, with less leisure time than men to spend on activities such as surfing the Internet."

This shows that women zero in and stick to sites that are most relevant to them, while males generally surf around casually and flit from site to site, without any specific object of enquiry. A study by HarrisInteractive stated that 95% of the purchasing decisions were finalized by women in any average U.S. household, as almost 90% of the household finances were controlled by them. The interesting part is that most of the costly purchases were done offline after researching about them online; whereas, most of the less costly purchases were done online after researching about them online. This shows that online purchasing is gaining ground and finding favor with women as years go by. Also, that women are more discerning and without adequate research do not buy. While online, they do not just follow 'impulse buying', which is common in offline shopping. Besides online shopping, they also are interested in socializing and sharing views.

The net-savvy online woman has distinct online attitudes, experiences, and habits. She uses the Internet for varied purposes like exchanging experiences, advice, interests, emails, banking, online securities/commodities trading, portfolio management, work from home employment opportunities like medical transcription, medical coding, programming, typing, consulting, freelancing, etc. She actively participates in discussion boards, blogs, and forums. She regularly visits websites related to food & drink, cooking, parenting, diets and weight loss programs, pregnancy, celebrity gossip, albums, horoscopes, shopping, travel, inspiration, ideas, technology, music, entertainment, games, gambling, lotteries, interactive tools, careers, beauty, style, fashion, fitness, dating, nutrition, quizzes, romance, relationships, sexuality, health, news, current events, family, and any other issue that lights up the sparkle in her eyes, or flowers her fertile imagination, or enhances her expertise in domestic or commercial, standard or niche segments.

Nowadays, women shop at eBay, Shopping.com, Amazon after comparing prices at BizRate, PriceGrabber, and Frucall. The epicureans visit Epicurious or FoodNetwork. The travelers search SideStep or Kayak and later share their travel and other photos of memorable moments at Flickr. Those who want to know why the devil wears Prada or why Max Factor is naughty and nice prefer going to Glam, PopSugar, and Style Diary. For entertainment, they watch videos and movies at YouTube and NetFlix. The money minded undertake online stock trading and regularly checkout CNNMoney, MSN Money, Yahoo! Finance, and Marketwatch. Job seekers visit Monster or CareerBuilder. The directionless career seekers find counseling at LinkedIn or Ryze. Freelancers meet at eLance or Guru. For cool deals real estate finders check out Realtor or RealtyTrac or Rent.com. The affluent geeks and the techie divas update themselves at Cnet, Thinkgeek, Digg, and tech.yahoo.com. Moms get and give parenting advice at MomJunction, Mothering, BabyZone, and Kaboose. And all of them, without exception, discuss sex, secrets, and lies at MySpace, friendster, Orkut, hi5, Facebook, and Bebo. Of course, they also send emails, chat, and join groups at Yahoo!, Google, MSN, and AOL.

Woman per se, was, is, and always shall be, intrinsically woven into the warp and weft of the societal fabric. Earlier the society was limited to one's village, which now with the Internet has encompassed the whole world. The Internet has truly made the world a big global village, and women were the first ones to recognize, appreciate, and embrace its numerous functions and benefits. Due to this first mover advantage, women gobble up the largest chunk of the Internet users' pie.

Market research companies like eMarketer , Forrester Research, EPM Communications Inc., Datamonitor , JupiterResearch, Hitwise, ComScore Media Metrix, BSM Media, Neilsen//NetRatings, AndersonAnalytics, Borrell Associates, Cyveillance, Pew Internet & American Life Project, Fulcrum Analytics (formerly Cyber Dialogue) and scores of other notable research companies unanimously agree that more than 70% of the total US Internet population is comprised of women! This is the sole reason why so many websites focus on what motivates women, what frustrates them, and what needs do they have. Most of the women-centric websites deal with attitudes, behavior, style, tastes and preferences; thereby, attempting to present a unique insight into the buying and social patterns of today's online women.

According to Alexa , the top 10 online women-centric sites in the category "On the Web" sorted according to the most popular are BellaOnline (a community of women members, experts and hosts exchanging experiences, encouragement, interests and advice), SoFeminine (women's magazine featuring articles, celebrity gossip, readers' albums, blogs and discussion boards), Handbag.com (offers advice, shopping opportunities and ideas, information, inspiration and community, horoscopes, interactive tools and games), BlogHer (#1 guide to blogs by women), WomanSavers (world's largest database rating good and bad men, helps women worldwide avoid dating alleged cheating, lying or abusive men), CodeGrrl (free PHP/MySQL scripts, tutorials, resources and forums), NZGirl (New Zealand-based magazine for teen girls and young women), Femail (online lifestyle magazine, issued monthly, with articles, discussion forums, and regular columns), All for Women (by women, about women, ...all for women, friendly forum, articles, and links) and Womensforum (an online portal for women linking to a dozen partner sites).

The wind is clearly blowing in favor of women and thus more websites are becoming more and more women oriented. It is evident that the Internet has changed traditional norms of the society, as it embraces different cultures of the world and tries to synthesize these cultural variations, attempting to make one unified culture, one global culture. Women have also changed and have become proactive as their lives are being changed by the ever-changing societal trends. A virtual knowledge boom has taken place and women fuel its growth. Slowly gender roles are being exchanged as mature groups come under women's dominion. Due to great advances in healthcare, people live longer. They get greater time to pursue their chosen careers and this has led to economic independence in the lives of women. Economic independence has brought in its wake all types of independence, which has prompted women to postpone few milestone events of their lives, like marriage, settling down, becoming a parent, and raising a family.

Due to increased earning power, women have become the most prolific consumers, the biggest spenders, and the greatest demanding buyers. They relate to technology in a different manner than men. They are more interested in what the technology can do rather than how it does. They see the usefulness of the Internet and use it accordingly to satisfy their needs, cravings, and wants. Advertisements go on testing women's endurance, skill, and patience with the superwoman myth, who is successful both as a high-flying career woman and is also a loving wife cum a devoted mother. The media plays an influencing role in the trends of dress, food, beauty and body image. Education, fitness, nutrition, and healthcare websites are all gearing up to meet the hectic lifestyles of women. Women oriented websites employ feminine humor, deliver tension-relieving experiences, promote sociability, and facilitate amicability.

Venture capital would be easy to obtain for websites who aim to target the women audience. It has been found out the online purchases a woman makes is directly proportional to the time spent at the website. Thus Marketing & Advertising will also try to evolve newer and better ways of keeping the women engrossed at their websites. Women also forge strong online loyalties with the sites that they like. Due to their having less time on their hands, they go to their favorite sites immediately and buy what they need, after satisfactory prior research has been completed on it. This increases repeat customers for the websites, and increases web traffic due to word-of-mouth advertising. The majority of the netizens have always been women, and the feminization of the e-commerce websites ensures it will remain so, at least for the next decade or so.

Common Work at Home Scams

,
Best Numbers For Lottery :

Scams are every where online. Just about every where you go online you will find ads for so-called "easy and fast money" jobs. Anything that promises "easy money" or "big bucks part time" is full of it. Don't waste your time on something that promises fast and easy money because it's not going to happen.

Let's delve into the scams out there and then talk about resources you can use to research a company!

Common work at home scams to avoid

Typing "Jobs" - you can type in typing jobs in any major search engine and you'll pull up many of these so-called "jobs" typing for "easy" money. Most of the time you will pay a fee, and then they will send you information about how to place ads in local papers to "sell" this so-called job to others. This simply is not a "job" and it's nearly impossible to make a decent income with this. They post testimonials that are either made up or of successful internet marketers in order to persuade you into believing this is a great "job" for you.

Envelope Stuffing - I'm sure you've seen this one everywhere and might have fallen for it. I sure did. Not once, but twice! I thought, "Well the first company was just a scam but this one looks legit" and, yes, I was wrong. I got scammed by this little sucker twice! Please do not fall for this tempting "job". What you'll probably receive (what happened to me) for your "small fee" (which is usually how its worded) is a letter telling you to place that same "envelope-stuffing" ad in newspapers, magazines, online sites and anywhere else you can get your ad. The only way you will earn money is to pass on this scam to other moms who desperately want to work at home. There's no stuffing of envelopes involved. You simply pass on this scam to others and get paid by charging a fee...the same way it happened to you. Please don't fall for this HUGE waste of time and please don't pass this scam on to others.

Assembly/Crafting Scams- If you want to make money with assembly or crafting your best bet is to start your own business and sell your work online, locally and at fairs. The so-called jobs online for assembly or crafts are scams. Usually you will be required to buy supplies or a kit and then, after days or weeks of work, you would send in your work for payment. What usually happens is your work supposedly didn't meet the standards they have and they will either send it back for you to fix or they will keep it and not pay you. If you get the chance to "fix it" and send it back you'll again be told it didn't meet the standard. It's a nasty on going cycle and the end result is that you've wasted your hard earned money on the "kit" and you've wasted your valuable time for nothing.

Processing Government Refunds- Boy this one sounds pretty interesting huh? Yet another scam for you to avoid. What the meat of this scam? Basically you'll see ads that you can earn 0 to 00 a week processing 3rd party government refunds via your computer. You are told that you'll get a list of people who might be home owners and might be entitled to a refund by HUD. They make you pay up to 0 (or even more) for this list. What you'll do is contact these people and try to get them to share the refund with you, BUT what they fail to tell you is these people can get refunds FREE by calling HUD themselves.

So, if you go through this list and find a few people owed a refund, phone them up and tell them why you're calling, one of three things will happen:

1. They will hang up on you

2. They'll listen to you, then tell you that their going to research this themselves. Doing so they will find out they don't need you and can get the refund on their own. Therefore you make nothing.

3. You find someone who actually takes you up on your offer. You "help" them get the refund they could have done on their own and you collect your portion. You've basically scammed that person out of all the money owed to them by withholding the fact that they can do this on their own and collect all the money.

Just stay away from this - it's bad for all concerned. And in fact, the HUD site warns people of these so-called "tracers" ... that the public can collect a refund without a "tracer."

Chain Letters- This usually guarantees you to earn large amounts of money with a one time small investment. (See the trend? Scams ALWAYS ask you for money.) The typical chain letter scheme usually requires you to mail the chain letter, along with a specified amount of money to six (or more) people. And then they must do the same. There just simply aren't enough people in the world to make this worth your time. AND, it's illegal! The post office says that chain letters are a form of unauthorized lottery and may violate federal mail fraud laws. They also warn not to waste your money! Read more about this at US Postal Service Inspection Services

Medical Claims Billing- I'm sure you've seen this everywhere and it may have caught your eye. This one caught my eye, but I was fortunate enough to meet someone who told me to stay away. The ad will usually state you can make tons of money part time doing "Medical Billing/ Claims Processing. The fee for the software and training can be as high as 00 or even more. You supposedly get a list of doctors and sample letters in order to gain clients. Although this isn't necessarily the typical scam, it's not as easy (or possible) as they claim it to be. If you want to do this I would take a local class on Medial Billing (or an accredited online school) and then get an offline job doing this...then build your client list and make it home-based.

What have we learned from the examples above? If you have to pay a free, it's a scam, rip off or just not worth your time! So stay away from the above scams.

I would also like to discuss some common red flags to look for with any job offer.

They ask a fee - you should NEVER pay for a job

They claim it's easy work - a real job is never easy

They claim you can earn great money for little work - a real job will never claim you can make riches with little to no work.

They have testimonials about the "job" - a real job offer isn't going to need testimonials posted. Why would they? If they aren't trying to sell something to you, then they won't need to convince you that it's worth your time.

If it says "no kits, no fee's, not MLM...etc." - a real job isn't going to post that in their job ad. If you find a "job" advertised like that you can guarantee it's a business opp. or outright scam.

The words "No Experience Necessary" - although there are some jobs out there that don't require experience they often won't make that a big part of their ad (or at all) and usually you find this on scam ads.

A 900 number to call for more information - any legitimate company will call you or provide you with an 800 number. If they are a smaller company and don't have an 800 number, then if you inform then you don't wish to use your long distance to call them, they will usually call you.

The Ghost of Future Debt

,
Best Numbers For Lottery :

What kind of future are we creating for ourselves today? I'm sure at one point or another we've all wished we had a magic crystal ball that could foretell our future. We've all wondered when that big job promotion is coming our way, or whether we'll ever win the lottery and be able to take that world round trip, or if we'll be financially secure in our older years.

Looking at the figures and projections based upon our current level of debt doesn't paint a heartwarming picture for the future.

Like the very real threat of today's global warming and our impact on climate change as a result of our appetite for natural resources, we humans have transferred an equally insatiable appetite toward debt and consumerism.

To get perspective on just how dire our situation really is you need to know the facts.

Fact Number One:

The ten percent of American's who owe ,000 or more on their credit cards have incomes of under ,000, that means they owe over a third of their income to someone else before even sparing a thought toward their living expenses.

One third of American's below the ,000 income threshold also have credit card debt in excess of ,000, that's still a 20% chunk of your income that you give to someone else, money that will never be put to work for you, money you will never see again.

Your best defense to alleviate debt now is to consolidate. Condense the debt in to one manageable loan and get rid of all credit cards except one. Get a budget sorted, put it into action and resist the urge to apply for any more cards as this will only impede your future financial goals. Remember why you're doing it, give yourself good enough reason and you'll overcome any temptation to overspend.

Fact Number Two:

Why are so many companies offering you endless credit card solicitations each month when they know you can't afford them?

They know that if you're over extended financially that you'll struggle to keep up with your payments. The late payment penalty alone has become a very lucrative income stream for the banks and credit card companies.

Did you know that in 2004 late payment fees attributed to an extra 45 billion dollars in revenue for the credit card companies alone? It's in their best interests that you incur these late fee penalties or continue paying the minimum each month, in fact if you continued to pay only the minimum, it would take you on average, 13 years to fully pay off your cards assuming an interest rate of 14%, for many companies this rate is much higher.

It's a honey trap coated in the promise of having the things you want right now at the expense of forever paying for it later.

Again, if your debts are spiraling out of control, consolidation may be for you.

Pay more than the minimum to whittle the debt down quicker, the faster you eliminate the debt, the less you pay over time.

Pay on time, you don't want to incur unnecessary late penalty fees. Remember, paying late only adds to the 45 billion revenue the companies are already making from you, don't give them another penny more.

Fact Number Three:

Bankruptcy's not the get out of jail free card it once was. In the past most people were able to file for Chapter 7, allowing them to walk away from the debts they owed without having their assets liquidated, but ever since the law changed in 2005 and saw the enforcement of Chapter 13, people could have their assets included for the disbursements of their debts, they lost their current lines of credit and had a hard slog ahead of them to repair their credit rating.

Keep up with your debts to avoid ever having to apply for bankruptcy. Seek debt management or debt counseling if you need external help. Examine all your options before considering bankruptcy, it's a major decision and not without it's downside and repercussions.

Fact Number Four:

70% of low to middle income earners refer to their credit cards as their financial back up rather than relying upon personal savings.

In our day, savings has decreased to an all time low, in fact our ancestors during the time of the 1930's depression saved comparatively more than we do, and we have more disposable income. This means that over 90% of American's will be dependent upon the government for assistance when they retire. This frightening statistic also predicts that the majority of funds of older American's will go towards covering their medical expenses and the ever ballooning cost of prescriptions.

No one is really able to rely wholeheartedly on government assistance, unless you want to drastically downscale your lifestyle, just because you think you're doing okay today doesn't mean that circumstances won't change tomorrow.

The only way to ensure you're taken care of in your golden years is to rely on yourself.

Save, save, save. Put aside 10-15% of your income, have it automatically diverted to a specially designated bank account. You won't miss the funds you never see and it'll build gradually over time. Negotiate terms with your bank to see which favorable interest rates they can offer you. Turn the interest to your advantage and use it to make more money for you.

The sun will always come up, the earth will always go round and the cost of medical expenses will always rise.

Take out health and life insurance. Always make sure you have current medical coverage so you won't be financially devastated by any unforeseen emergencies.

Fact Number Five:

In 2004, only 14% of American's used cash for their purchases compared to 25% opting to use their credit cards.

There's a higher tendency to spend more (up to 20%) on credit card purchases than if you paid with cash, you can't spend what you don't physically have.

The advantages of paying with cash means that you don't overspend, you get greater discounts on cash purchases giving you a stronger buying position, there are no interest penalties or fees associated with using cash.

It has it psychological benefits too, it's more difficult to blow 0 cash when you're forking it over note for note compared to a couple of swift swipes with the plastic.

You'll have a greater appreciation and new found respect for the money you earned and you're not spending anyone else's in the process, namely, the credit companies. More power to you.

Ensure the security of your future by taking action today.

Winning the Lottery Twice - Is it Possible? The Shocking Technique You Really Won't Believe!

,
Best Numbers For Lottery :

Is winning the lottery twice even possible? How can it be? Aren't the mathematical odds so dramatically against it that to even suggest it happens be foolish? In this article we are going to take a look at how SOME people have not only won the lottery MORE than once....many people routinely win smaller (but significant) games of chance on a regular basis to boot! Curious to know more? Continue reading as we take a closer look below!

Okay....but has anyone won the lottery more than once? It sounds SO far fetched?

It may SOUND that way.....but it's certainly not! Terry Fisher for example, an Australian repeat lottery winner in EXCESS of 7 figures, has done it multiple times! So too has Helen Hadsdell....a well known guru of money manifestation and law of attraction style success strategies. (her winnings are so DIVERSE and extensive that it goes WELL beyond the purview of lotteries...and into just about every contest and game of chance known to man....or woman!) The truth is, MANY people have had repeated success with lotteries large and small....and statistician and mathematicians who study this stuff ALWAYS shake their head in bewilderment when trying to explain how it happens!

Here is the REAL secret to winning ANY game of luck or chance MORE than once.....

You obviously need a system, right? You need a strategy for picking your numbers, or whatever type of game you are playing. A math based system is almost ALWAYS superior and gives you FAR more leverage than other more unproven methods. But the KEY is this: You need to cultivate the MINDSET for money. You need to THINK like a lucky person thinks...and WILL yourself to win like someone who is destined to be rich!

Sound silly?

If it does....you probably are NOT in the small subset of people who WILL win 1 jackpot...let alone 2 or more. The thing is, you can attract wealth in your life...SIMPLY by emulating, and following those people who have what you want. As crazy as this sounded years ago....more and more science now SUPPORTS the notion that success is FAR more of a mind set than an activity, and cultivating wealth out of thin air seems to happen to those that want it, will it and SEE it happen before it does.

My recommendation?

If you want to be lucky, do what lucky people do..:-) If you want to win the lottery.....play the way WINNERS play! Sounds simple, don't you agree? The best things in life usually are....and this one is no different!

How To Become Rich

,
Best Numbers For Lottery :

"Winning the lottery isn't always what it's cracked up to be," Adams comments. "I won the American dream but I lost it, too. It was a very hard fall. It's called rock bottom," says Evelyn Adams a two time lottery winner from the State of New Jersey who, after many thankless nights in Atlantic City and frivolous spending, now lives in a tailor.

It's sad but true - there is no easy way to get rich. The lottery only seems to bring bad fate and by the time the get rich quick internet ads and make 0,000 / year spam emails tell you that wealth can be more than seamlessly obtained via following a proven method, you are too late to the game.

We all want wealth. Wealth signifies power in any human society. It buys fancy clothes, gold jewelry, fine dining, celebrity status, looks and European vacations. The one kicker is that nobody is going to hand you money.

However, follow these proven steps and see if you can't grow your bank statement and decrease that 12% AMEX bill:

- Pick The Right Profession - Love What You Do

Owning an executive search firm, the number one mistake I see that job seekers make is that they bounce from job to job chasing a marginally increased commission. What many fail to see is that if you don't love what you do and don't love the company you work for, you are not going to reach your full potential.

Find a job that plays to your strengths. Pursuing jobs that solely focus on your weaknesses will only complicate the equation. Do you remember when your parents made you study math regardless of how much you hated the subject? Statistically, that time could have been more productively spent on the subjects that you were getting A-'s on.

Getting rich begins with excelling in your career. There is no better to do than to settle in with a company that may pay less at first, but will give you confidence in your skills via feeding you jobs and tasks that can help flourish your career.

One way or another, if you like your career, you're going to make money. You can be the best garbage man and you'll easily glide past seven figures. Pick the career. The money will come regardless.

- There Are No Shortcuts - Come To Grips With This

When the majority of individuals start their own business, they do so with the mentality that others are going to either work for free or that they are going to be able to cut corners or any mixture of the two. If success was only so simplistic and easy to come by.

If you want to make money, not only do you have to put in 16+ hour days to prove yourself and become the best at what you do, you must be creative regarding the approach to get there. When it comes to making money and pursuing the career you want, everyone must follow their own path. What yours is, only you know.

Though, start by deciphering what your end goal is and map out the ways that you plan to skin the cat. Then, attack.

- Try Not To Burn Bridges

The most successful people are quite careful about whom they burn bridges with. The more bridges a person burns, the stronger the blockades are going to be throughout their journey of chasing their career goals.

Human beings hate rejection and successful individuals despise it. This often leads to lashing out at those who do not adhere to this admiration of them. The aforementioned mentality is sure to create those blockades and the more you have, the harder your accomplishments are going to come.

How to Win the Lottery - Smart Investment Or Dumb Luck?

,
Best Numbers For Lottery :

Can you make a business out of playing the lottery? Can it be a smart investment, or just dumb luck? The numbers are drawn at random, so you always have the same chance of winning, right? Not exactly. Actually, you can help improve your odds of winning simply by changing how you treat the way you purchase your tickets.

Most people purchase lottery tickets with the attitude that they will never see that money again. If the ticket doesn't win, or the winning amount isn't more than what they spent, they consider it a loss. But, what about the money you spend to see a movie? You spend the money once, you see the movie once. Same as if you spend the money on a plane ticket, sporting event ticket, or any other pay-per-use fee.

But, if you purchase lottery tickets as an investment, you will see your attitude change. You have a choice. You can purchase a ticket to see a movie, or you can purchase a ticket that has a chance of returning money to you in amounts equal to the cost of the ticket up to hundreds, thousands, and even millions of dollars.

As recent events have shown, investing in the stock market is far from a guarantee of profits, but you still treat it as an investment. So, you should treat your investment in the lottery. Unlike investing in the stock market, the more you invest in the lottery, the more your chances of profiting.

So, now you've decided to treat your lottery purchases as an investment. Good investment also requires good research and a great system to help you leverage your investment for the best possible return. There are many great systems out there that can help you leverage your investment depending on the game you play and they are really worth checking out.

For information on winning lottery systems, Money You Need has the answers!

Syndicate For Bingo

,
Best Numbers For Lottery :

Most of us have heard of lottery syndicates where a group of people, often friends or those who work together, organize and collectively play various state and national lotteries. There have been a few cases of spectacular wins by lottery syndicates. Like a lottery syndicate a bingo syndicate is a group of people who agree to play either online or hall Bingo to increase their chances of winning. The agreement is to share any jackpots or prizes equally.

A group of 8 to 12 people is recommended for starting up a syndicate but it is important to remember that there has to be a degree of trust between members. You have to feel confident that every member will report honestly on his or her winnings. Even with the best of friends it is always a good idea to put everything in writing. It is really advisable to do this and to create a contract between you so that everyone understands the rules. Where will you play? How many cards will each person purchase? When will you play and how often? How will the members split any winnings? How will winnings be paid. These are just some of the questions that any syndicate should consider. It is always much better to have these things in writing as it will help to avoid misunderstandings later. It is important also to establish agreements about joining and leaving the group.

Why play in a syndicate rather than alone? People playing in a bingo syndicate increases their odds of winning in direct proportions to the numbers in the group. Say you have 4 people each playing 5 cards. That means that the syndicate actually has 20 cards in play significantly increasing the odds of winning and it can well be argued that a share of a jackpot is better than no jackpot at all.

Another reason for forming and playing bingo as a syndicate is that it greatly enhances the social aspect of the game. Syndicate members can get excited about the success of fellow syndicate members and this in turn can make the game more fun. Even if you are not playing yourself you can watch the progress of partners. Although at present bingo syndicates are not very common probably because of the fact that the average bingo jackpot does not even come close to the size of the average lottery jackpot, syndicate bingo is growing in popularity and some online bingo websites now have some pretty large jackpots compared with the jackpots offered by land based counterparts, so whether played individually or as a syndicate bingo can be lucrative but most important of all it's a lot of fun!

2010 Fantasy Football Auction Draft Values

,
Best Numbers For Lottery :

Fantasy Football auctions have to be the most fun 2-3 hours one can spend. So much of the season rides on those decisions. The auction has so much more potential for smashing success and dismal failure then a draft does. In an auction the price for any player is set by the market and when the market is 10-12 guys pounding beers it has the potential for wild variations. Meaning you can easily extremely overpay for a player or underpay and steal a player. When you do a draft these extremes just do not exist. Sure someone can reach for a player too early and another player can fall a little ways but the peak to valley difference in a draft no way approaches that of an auction. The other great part is because everyone is on equal footing you all have the some potential for success and failure. Where in a draft you may know a player has dropped way too far but if you are still 3 picks away and you can not act on it.

So with that preamble out of the way lets look at the 2010 fantasy football auction values produced by us as Fantasy Fortunes. The full list with player descriptions is at the website below. These values are based on a 10 team league with everyone starting with 0. If you are in a 12 team league take these numbers times 120% and I would also weight RB a little more heavily do to the diluted RB pool.

Atop the list is Chris Johnson , he finished strong and after the first several weeks was clearly the guy everyone wished they had. There is no reason to think he will not repeat next season. Every other RB has some level of baggage which Chris Johnson has none of.

Next is Adrian Peterson at , he is less for a reason, FUMBLES. This is a major problem and MN is getting tired of it. He is still the man and has huge upside but turnovers cost them the Superbowl and Peterson gets benched when he fumbles.

The next two MJD and Ray Rice are at and and I think could be the steal of the auction at that price. Both should have great years and have very limited baggage. Next is Turner at here is where the real baggage starts. The injury issue is a big deal but so are his TD totals. Big risk big reward potential.

I feel like there is a tier break here Frank Gore and Steven Jackson round out the top RBs at and both have good upside but both disappeared at times. Gore also seems to get nicked up each year.

Next we get into the WR's we like Andre Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald at and . Johnson gets the edge as he keeps his QB though both are animals and should produce good safe numbers.

Now we round out the 1st round of what would be a draft if your a caveman and still prefer drafting to auctions, we have Cedric Benson, Ryan Grant, Jamall Charles and DeAngelo Williams all for -. All have similar upside though I think the later two have the most. They all should be safe and do well but also have the potential for big games I think one of these 4 will finish in the top 3 of RBs for 2010. I like the idea of taking 2 of these guys and if they go at these prices and still have half my discretionary money left to round out my team.

The next WR on the list is Vincent Jackson at . Everyone knew this guy had it in him and he finally showed it. I would not be surprised if he is the #1 WR next year. Really like him and really like him at this price.

Now we get into the grab bag of WR, QB and RB we have Mendenhall, Wayne, Rodgers, Brees, Desean Jakson, and Brandon Marshall. All with tremendous upside albeit Mendenahall. Wayne scares me a little he disappeared at the end of last season, though losing the Superbowl makes me think Wayne and Manning come out next season with an air of "The last ride of Wyatt Earp and his immortals." Which brings us to Manning, Austin and Moss at . One WR on the way up the other on the way down. The only question is who would you rather have?

The level gives us Thomas Jones and Ronnie Brown. One guy who you think will get hurt (Jones) and one who is a lottery ticket winner if he does not (Brown). If your picking between these two the gambler takes Brown the guy who holds 95% bonds in his portfolio goes Jones. For me I would take Brown.

We take a price drop for Calvin Johnson and Beanie Wells. Both these guys are a throw of the dice though Megatron does OK even when a Junior College transfer is throwing him the ball, the only problem is I don't see the situation improving next year. If the Lions get a QB move him up the list. As for Wells if the job is his he could be huge. Training camp should be interesting here.

will get you your choice of Moreno or Boldin to be honest they both scare me. I could see either one having a terrible season though their upside warrants this price.

Addai That Superbowl may have moved him up a bit. I keep thinking OK this is his last good year. He and Thomas Jones surprise me every year. Next is the teir we have Kevin Smith, Pierre Thomas and Tom Brady. I think Pierre has the most upside of the bunch but man do they throw a lot and with Bush still there I don't like it. This is officially the point where I will not allow myself to spend any less on my starting running backs. If I am being completely honest the lack of quality RBs in 2010 makes me sketchy about anything below the Ronnie Brown level. Tom Brady could be a good buy here if he returns to form. I think Kevin Smith benefits as well if the Lions get a real QB.

We drop again to the WR bin. Sidney Rice, Greg Jennings, Roddy White and Steve Smith. If Farve is back Rice is the best of the bunch if he is not then I like Smith the best if not only based on the Vikings game at the end of the season. He still has it and has great upside. Jennings and White scare me, I liked both of them a lot coming into 2009 and was very disappointed, with the year Rodgers had Jennings should have been a monster. Perhaps he will sync better with Rodgers next year.

gets you some sexy options Matt Schaub Dallas Clark and Antonio Gates. All the sudden there are so many good plays at TE. If you are forced to play a TE in your league make sure you get Clark, Gates, Gonzo, Davis or Daniels. For me personally I'll leave Gonzo to someone else but the crop of TE is so good that you should not have to over pay: but don't get stuck without one of the elite.

Next we get Vernon Davis as good as the others just a cheaper.

The pool is all over the place Ochocinco, Rivers, Daniels (amazing value), Forte and Jonathon Stewart (minus for how he spells Jonathon). I really like Forte at this price. He has tremendous upside. I actually like Rivers at this price as well. I don't advocate spending a lot on QB since you can fish the waiver wire all season and do OK but I think you get good point separation over the waiver wire strategy with Rivers.

Rounding out the list at is Colston, Steve Smith, Holmes and Romo. Colston is the value of the bunch. He will go for more in your auction so if you really want him be prepared to drop or more. I fear Smith will not be the best WR on the Giants next season though that might be OK I just think Nicks could be great. Holmes is all over the place some love him some hate him so he will probably go for more but I think this is the right price. As for Romo I think the only reason he made the list was so we could make our peacock joke (see the list).

That is it. Check out the list at the website below.

Top 7 Ways to Get Rich

,
Best Numbers For Lottery :

All those who are interested in gaining their financial freedom by becoming rich within a short period of time can definitely get success provided they move in a methodological way.

I am listing top 7 ways to get rich and I bet that they are the fastest and easiest ways to gain wealth!

1. Inherit the wealth- It was the way old money families acquired their wealth. This is sheer luck and requires a person to be born in a wealthy family. Nobody can stop you from becoming rich if you are born rich! As wealth is passed from one generation to the next, you being part of the chain can enjoy benefits.

2. Win it - If it is not possible for you to inherit wealth, then surely you can try winning it. There are numerous lotteries out there doling out millions of dollars worth of jackpots, and somebody for sure wins them and that can be you this time! It surely is a game of chance and luck, and you can definitely try! The best part is that you won't go into debt trying few times and there is no last chance as you can try for it till you succeed!

3. Marry a wealthy partner- This is also the fastest and easiest way to gain wealth. You just have to make some "efforts" to marry somebody who is already wealthy. Sometimes, the wealthy partner can be compassionate and generous too and may part with few millions worth of cash! If this is not so, divorce can come handy, as it can pay off handsomely!

4. Strive for it- If it is not possible for you to marry somebody wealthy, you can try to work for it. It is difficult to become rich by just doing a 9-5 Job. Instead, people build their business and then expand it. They also make their company public and collect millions or even billions in the process. There are many who invent something useful and then continue to earn as these items are commercialized for the society.

5. Gambling - If there are no chances of winning, marrying or inheriting the wealth, you can at least gamble for getting a piece of it. More than 60 million people in the US play poker. Few of them even make millions of dollars in it. Many times, you must have also seen them on the TV. They look easy and cool. Any good poker player stands a good chance to make good bucks on a lucky day. So, just try winning few games by joining the World Poker Tour and win few tournaments and become at least millionaire if not billionaire!

The biggest benefit of gambling is that your initial investment in it is negligible as compared to the rewards that you can get from this "nostalgic" game. So, best of luck with this game of chance!

6. Invest your money and get rich- If most of the other options appear impossible to you, you can try investing some bucks to get rich. You have two options to invest for becoming rich; stock markets and in real estate.

Stock market is definitely a good way to become rich and you can play with numbers after some research on the companies before trading on their shares. Stocks prices climb dramatically within a short period of time and you can make a killing by offloading your stock that you purchased initially at a lower rate. However, success is possible if you have picked the right stocks and have made substantial investment in it.

As per the historical data, the real estate prices climb up within a short span of time providing huge returns to the investors. Therefore, getting rich in real estate is the best option, but it takes time. Aside from this, you have to make substantial investment in the property. Definitely a hard way to get rich!

7. Steal or deal - Well the simplest and the most effective way to become rich within hours is to steal it or deal it.

Become a CEO of a huge company with deep cash reserves, cook up the account books and steal millions to become a rich person. Buy your personal aircraft, island and luxury yacht! You don't deserve anything less! Well, if you get caught in the act, there is no guarantee that you will ever be out of prison in the rest of your life. Well, that's a big price and I won't recommend this for sporty types!

Aside from the above, it won't do any good if you deal it. Dealing in drugs, such as heroin, opium and various other goods that are not approved by the FDA and selling them to the wholesalers who can further resell it at their own rates to the consumers ranging from the kids to several big Hollywood stars. After all, these drug lords are supplying what the people actually want, but they don't shy a bit from ruining lives, creating crime and killing people. This way of making money can put you in jail for the rest of your life. So, this is not the moral or legal way to get rich.

They go out and do the same old thing time and time again. They never take time to figure out why it is they don't when. They don't revue and research how the winners did what they did. So, if you are one of these people saying "give me the winning lottery numbers", then it is obvious that you have not perfected your game. Don't worry because by the time we are done you will be a professional lotto player. You will be able to pick the right numbers as many times as you need. Not only will you be able to pick the right numbers before you know it you will have friends and family saying to you "give me the winning lottery numbers." In some cases, I would even let the machine pick my numbers for me or I would ask friends to give me numbers.

6 Great Tips To Finding And Getting The Job You Love

,
Best Numbers For Lottery :

All too often, people experience work that does not provide any enjoyment at all. Each day they wake and in those seconds as they become conscious, they realize it's another dreary day at their workplace. It's like a ball and chain on their life, eight or ten hours, simply wasting their lives away.

Every day.

Of course they have other things to look forward to - those hours they spend with friends or family outside their awful workplace, And yet, the cloud hanging over them persists, sadly. And the hours grow into days. And the days into weeks, months and years. before they know it, their work life ends with so little to show for it.

Truth is, you can be one of the growing number of people who find a job they love by taking action. Just a few easy stages, taking you along on the path to a very different work experience. Here are six simple steps you can take to get you on your way.

Tip One

First up is making sure you really recognize the kind of work that turns you on. Some skeptics might say that there's no 'job' anywhere to get them excited about. Yet, most often, most people do want to be fulfilled and experience an opportunity to grow themselves and make a positive impact on the world. Yet it's always best done in a way that gives them a buzz as they do it. And everyone is different, so that if all the jigsaw pieces fell into place, we could all be doing just what we are best at!

Tip Two

Second step, once you've carefully recognised the kind of job you really do want, is to work out where those jobs hang out. Is it somewhere you know? Somewhere that requires you to change where you live; something you can't quite find yet. It's about what resonates with you when you check the job adverts in the local paper. Or maybe know someone who has just the thing you want even!

Tip Three

Make sure that whatever you set your mind on is doable; maybe not this year, maybe not next, but if you really do want something badly, you will develop for yourself a strategy that will help you gradually edge closer to exactly what you want. So, a key action here is to assess how close you are to what they will want from you and plan ahead to get the experiences and training you might feel you need - in advance, because when you find the opportunity, you want to be as ready as you can.

Tip Four

Prepare your resume well. there are all sorts of free information websites out there nowadays. You can pay to get the job done for you, but by taking a little time to research, you will most likely be able to glean enough detailed knowledge about resumes to make yours stand out above the rest. If in doubt along the way, make friends with someone in HR, so that they can cast an eye over what you prepare.

Tip Five

Believe in yourself. As Henry Ford once said, 'If you believe you can, or you can't, you are right'! Truth is, it's a lottery as to who is successful in applying for jobs sometimes. But you can prepare well and build experiences that will stand you in good stead for the questions that come. Not only that, but the key thing is that the broad, carefully selected scenarios of worthwhile experiences, showing off exactly what you personally, did WILL give you huge confidence. Truly that, in fact, you CAN!

Tip Six

To quote another great man, this time a Brit, who masterminded success during the bleak days of a World War. Winston Churchill's famous motto was, 'Never give up. Never give up. Never give up'. Life doesn't go in straight lines, there are ups and down, so be careful not to lose faith in your ultimate success. In fact, with each and every time you fail, just by the law of averages you are more likely to succeed next time! Use the failures to learn from; get objective feedback if you can and fine tune your 'performance' for next time. To find a job you love, you will need to persevere and continue searching and applying, until you find something you will totally LOVE!

It's a huge challenge to get what you want from your career - and yet it's such a valuable activity. Remember you have the choice - and it's only your choice, no-one else's - you can go for it and take the chance, or you can wallow in the comfort of nothingness for the rest of your career.

It's as simple as that.

Need Some Information On Annuities?

,
Best Numbers For Lottery :

Many people are confused about annuities and just aren't sure what they are and who they can benefit. There are also some people who think an annuity is something just for your retirement, and whilst this is true, you'll find that an annuity can actually be used in a number of ways.

Annuities are widely used for retirement, in fact, state and federal regulations look favorably upon annuities that are used for retirement. If you're thinking about your retirement and you've considered an annuity, you'd be wise to talk to a professional and find out whether the federal regulations can actually help you with an annuity. Nevertheless, an annuity could benefit you even if you're not planning on your retirement.

First and foremost would be a structured settlement. You would typically be given this kind of annuity if you were to win a lawsuit. Those people who have won a large lawsuit normally have to deal with huge medical bills. In such a situation, the judge will consult with your lawyer and also an accountant and they will look to find the best annuity for you, given your personal circumstances.

Another situation where an annuity could benefit you is a lottery win! A smaller win of several thousand could end up offering you some fantastic benefits if you were to put the winnings into annuities. There have been many lottery winners who have fallen into troubled times because of poor planning. Besides lottery winners, people can often receive large sums of money quickly through an inheritance. Again, investing some of this money into an annuity could offer you many long term benefits.

When you examine the various annuities that are available to you, you will more than likely come across a gift annuity. With a gift annuity, you give a lump sum to a particular charity and over the course of time they will pay you the interest on that sum. However, you'll find that the interest paid to you will be less than a typical annuity and you will not have the option of cashing in your annuity.

An annuity is a curious creature, but if you're careful, they can bring you many benefits. Always make sure that you speak with a professional in addition to the individual who's trying to sell you the annuity!

Making Your Living Through Writing

,
Best Numbers For Lottery :

If you are a writer, there is only one thing that drives you: writing. If you were unable to ever see your work in print, a true writer would write nonetheless, even if the work was seen by an audience of one. This article will show you how it is completely unnecessary to invest your heart and soul in a work that never sees the light of day. This article will show you the step by step processes to not only get your work into print, but to make a hearty living at it as well. I know. My husband and I have numerous books in print, and we are more than pleased with our sales of our books. By following the steps in this article, you will soon see your work available worldwide and will enjoy the financial impact of publishing on your terms.

One of the greatest balances one must strike when one seeks a career in any artistic endeavor - and writing is an art - is art versus commerce. You can be the best in your artistic field, but if you don't embrace the commercial aspect of your art at least as well as the art itself, you may find yourself living life as the quintessential starving artist. And who wants to starve? So the first step in the process is to understand that it doesn't end with the writing. In fact, when you've written the final page of your final draft, that becomes the starting gate. When you finish the book, you arrive at square one.

What New Writers may Believe

Many new writers who are embarking on getting their first book published have a fantasy that goes something like this: They believe that all they have to do is send query letters and copies of their manuscripts to literary agents and publishers, and that within a matter of weeks an editor will discover their work and within months they'll see their book on the shelves of Barnes & Noble. While this can happen, it is so rare that the odds of winning a state lottery are greater. The publishing industry has changed so much in the past ten years that it doesn't remotely represent the common perception most people and writers have. And believe it or not, this is a good thing, which you'll soon see in this article.

In the old days, writers submitted to agents, who took the manuscript to a series of editors at the various publishing houses in a bid to get the work into print. A year (most likely two or three years) later, the book would arrive in the bookstores as the typical promotional efforts took place simultaneously with the book's release. This doesn't happen like this anymore, and as far as promotional efforts are concerned, there are about a dozen writers that rate appearances on the morning TV shows, and about a hundred at any given time who are booked onto talk radio.

So where does that leave the estimated five- to six-thousand other writers who actually see their books published each year? As you can see, right off the bat the publishing industry is a niche industry. In fact, books are about the last medium that allows, much less encourages niche production. There are no longer niche projects in the Hollywood film industry to speak of, and most formerly niche cable television broadcasters now seek mass market audiences. But there will always be a need for niche-specific books and periodicals. This is your entry key into the field. If you can write for your audience, if you can fill their specific niche, you will succeed. And more to the point, your book will succeed. So let's begin the steps to your success in the publishing world.

Content

In the publishing world, "Content is King". What is the content in your book that will make it stand out from other books in the same field? This is the single most important question that you must ask yourself as an author. (And remember, the word 'author' is a derivative of the word 'authority'.) You must be the authority in your field, whether you are a writer of fiction, or non-fiction. Take an unbiased look at the work you propose and look forward, as in: What will people want to read a year or more from now. Don't base your thinking on what's happening now in the book world, because what's current was put into motion three years ago.

Decide Upon your Publishing Route

This is as important as the quality of your book. So right now we'll assume your book has bestseller written all over it (and inside, too!). The book is good, it's tightly edited, and now it needs a home. Earlier I described the differences in the publishing world today and how it receives new writers and authors. The realistic statement would be that it is so much harder to get published in the corporate world of bookselling, and because of the many nuisance lawsuits filed against publishers and authors by writers accusing them of plagiarism, publishers simply will not even consider unsolicited material from new writers for fear of the next lawsuit. In fact, as I am writing this the most successful author of all time, JK Rowling of Harry Potter fame, is embroiled in these kinds of accusations levied at her and her publisher. So to say that breaking through the standard publishing barriers these days is difficult at best would be an understatement.

So how do these publishers keep new material funneling through their houses in a timely and relevant way? They work with agents who have an established relationship with them, and they make deals with small press publishers once sales track records have been established for a particular title. And nowadays many projects are devised in house and assigned to writers and editors that they trust. So where does this leave you? After all, you just want to get your work out there and maybe make a few bucks while you're at it. So what's next? Well, there are choices. You can take the typical route and approach agents and publishers. Be prepared to spend an amazing amount on postage and materials, and while miracles do happen occasionally, just realize going in that you are playing lottery odds. Also, assuming you do make it through (and there's nothing saying that you can't) you'll be considered extremely fortunate if your advance exceeds ,000. In most cases a new author can figure an advance of between ,000 -,000.

So what's the alternative? Here it is: Publish it yourself. "Eek!" you scream. "I don't want to be involved with all that! I'm a WRITER! And besides, isn't that just what they call vanity publishing?" The answer to your last cry is NO. Self publishing is not vanity publishing. In fact, what is self publishing, anyway? Publishing in any form is nothing more than taking a particular work and reproducing it so more than one can read it. In fact, if you decide on the self publishing route, in my estimation you're not "self publishing" at all. In fact, you are establishing yourself as a small press publisher. There are literally thousands of small press publishers worldwide. Why shouldn't you be a small press publisher and as your first title decide to publish your book?

Makes sense! In fact, my husband Lee and I have co-written many books in our particular field and we sell thousands of books each year. Our small press publishing house is called GLC Press. It is our company, and we decide what we publish, when we publish, and how we publish. We do not go hat in hand to anyone; our publishing schedule is based on the needs and desires of our readership. We write what we want and we can have a book in print and in our distribution channel ready for our readers within weeks if we so desire. You can too! And here's how...

Small Pressing Publishing

First we thought of the name of our small press company. Once we did that we took care of the small but necessary business matters. They're easy enough to do, and someone at your local county or city business license office can help you with that. The next thing you'll want to decide on is your distribution method. We'll assume that you want your title listed on Amazon.com (the world's largest seller of books. If you're not on Amazon, you don't exist).

You'll also want to be carried in the brick and mortar stores, too. Your basic Barnes & Noble, Borders, WHSmith, and independent booksellers all have production standards that you must adhere to or your book will not be sold there, no matter how good it is. Standards include cover size and thickness, cover and book design, bar code, ISBN- and EAN13-numbers, warehousing, etc., must be taken into consideration is you want to run with the big dogs. And you can run with them, but you have to play by their rules. So what do you do to comply with all of this? This sounds like a full-time job, and all you want to do is write for a living.

Our Success

You must hire a competent and talented book design and production firm to create your book. They are the talented artisans who take your Microsoft Word manuscript and turn it into a book that you (and more importantly, your readers) can hold in your hand. But there's more: Whatever company you use must be schooled in the fine art of distribution. They must be able to get your title online immediately at all - and I do mean ALL - of the major online distributors. You must be on Amazon, etc., and they must be able to produce on demand rather than forcing you to purchase boxes upon boxes of product that may go unsold.

Finding a Qualified Cash Flow Note Buyer to Sell Your Paper

,
Best Numbers For Lottery :

A cash flow note buyer refers to a professional who will pay you a lump sum for all or a portion of any debt instrument you are currently holding. It could be a mortgage, a land contract, business note, structured settlement, lottery winnings or any number of other receivables. It's important to find a reputable, experienced note buyer in order to ensure you get what you deserve for your note.

Selling your note gives you immediate access to a large amount of cash, which can be used for investments, payments, or large purchases. You may be retiring, or perhaps you just don't want to have to wait for small payments month after month, year after year. Regardless of the reason, cash flow note buyers can provide this cash to you without the headaches and hassles of dealing with a bank or other lending institution.

Keep in mind you do have a number of options when it comes to selling your cash flow note. You can sell the entire instrument, which is very common, or you can sell just a portion of the payments. So if you have a 0,000 note you can choose to sell just ,000 worth, and resume receiving monthly payments after that time period. You can also split the monthly payments each month, so you're taking a portion but selling the remainder. A good cash flow note buyer will spell out all the options available to you.

What determines how much your cash flow instrument is worth? The buyer will take many things into account when figuring out a quote, but the most important factors are the payment balance, interest rate, time left, value and the payor's financial stability (timeliness of payments, credit rating, etc.) Remember, the note buyer is assuming the risk, so they have to determine if it is worth it for them to make the investment. Obviously, the less risky the note, the more they will be able to offer you.

So what do you look for when it comes to selecting cash flow note buyers? Here are a few things to keep in mind:

1. Look for someone who has a lot of experience, someone who has been in the business for many years. He or she will be able to offer the most flexibility, competitive rates and selling options.

2. In most cases there should not be any consultation fees, points, closing costs or any other additional payments that you have to make. All of the associated costs should be included in the amount you are paid for your note.

3. Don't be afraid to ask a lot of questions. If you don't understand something or need a point clarified, speak up. This is an important transaction, and reputable cash flow note buyers will happily answer any questions you may have. Make sure they tell you all of your options, including partial and full sale possibilities.

4. When you have decided to proceed, get everything in writing. Make sure that everything you talked about is included, and make sure you understand all of the terms.

5. One of the most important things is feeling comfortable throughout the entire process. You will always make the best decisions when you are most at ease, so find a cash flow note buyer that you have a good rapport with.

No matter what type of financial instrument you are selling, there are cash flow note buyers out there that are willing to purchase them from you. Hopefully we've helped make it a little easier to find a good one!

Lottery Scratch Game Tips - Consistently Win Today

,
Best Numbers For Lottery :

Most convenience stores in the United States offer lottery scratch tickets. These tickets are also referred to as instant lottery tickets. This type of game involves buying scratch card tickets in denominations of , , , , and amounts and scratching these tickets off to see if you've won anything. These were made available to the public in the 1970s and are now one of the major sources of revenues of the state lottery system. There is a wide variety of lottery scratch games to choose from.

People who play lottery scratch games are said to enjoy better chances of winning since most of the lottery scratch games have the tendency to give back 60% or more of the money that they've spent in buying these tickets. They are also easier to find since they can be purchased in most convenience stores and grocery stores.

There are some important Lottery Scratch Games Tips to take notice of. The first thing to do if you're interested in playing these kinds of lottery games is to know the chances of winning with each card's denomination. These odds are usually found at the back of the lottery scratch cards.

Another one of these Lottery Scratch Games Tips is for a person to know the kind of scratcher game that he or she has purchased. Figure out the game's mechanics for winning cash money. Some scratcher games may require you to match the numbers that you've unveiled on the cards to a winning number list. These numbers may correspond to different denominations that a person has won and when totaled may amount to a significantly large amount of money. The total amount that a person has won will be displayed once the winning card is shown to an authorized scratch game outlet. Personnel of these authorized lottery outlets then decipher the barcode found on each card via computers which are connected to the lottery network.

Some Lottery Scratch Games Tips involve the buying of seasonal scratch cards. If you buy an outdated or old scratch card then there is the possibility that someone has already won the jackpot prize. What most people don't know is that even if the jackpot prize has already been won, the scratch game continues until all of the cards have been purchased. All a person can hope for in this case is to win the additional or extra money prizes offered by these games.

It is also better to purchase the , , , and lottery scratch tickets. Buying lottery scratch cards with higher costs often leads to a player having a higher chance in winning money. This is due to the fact that not many people buy these tickets therefore these tickets often offer more cash payouts in order to entice the customer to buy these tickets. A lottery scratch card at very least may return the money you've spent. Avoiding the lottery scratch card is one of the most important Lottery Scratch Games Tips since these offer lesser payouts and lesser chances of winning.

In order to avoid spending too much on these cards, a person should set a budget on how much he or she can lose each day because of purchasing these cards. They may also join office pools to buy more cards. However, an agreement must be made between those in the office pool as to how the winnings will be divided.

Always check your cards for winning numbers. You should also claim your money immediately. There are lots of unclaimed cash prizes. You can claim these prizes in a span of one year. By implementing these Lottery Scratch Games Tips, you may find yourself enjoying consistent winnings from these games. It doesn't hurt to try these games out.
